Funeral services for Helen Marie Musick, age 81, of Blanket, will be at 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 28, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Mrs. Musick died Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Helen was born on March 11, 1932 in Tillman County, OK to Dan and Lillian (Albright) Kirk. She married Albert Musick on September 23, 1949 in Odessa. Helen was a member of Salt Creek Baptist Church for many years. She worked in food service for a number of years for the Early ISD. She also worked as the custodian for Salt Creek Baptist Church for 25 years before her retirement. She had been a resident of Brown County since 1960, moving here from Odessa.
Helen is survived by her husband Albert of Blanket, a son, Joe Musick and wife Sabrina of Blanket, a daughter-in-law, Jan Musick of Blanket; four grandsons; two great-grandsons, three brothers, Arthur and Steve Kirk of Odessa and George Kirk of Granby, Missouri; a sister, Dotty Henderson of Quemado, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, Jackie, and Bryant Kirk and two sisters, Lolo Kirkpatrick, and Annette Knight.
