A graveside funeral service for Helen Deeds, age 83, of Brownwood, will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2019 in Eastlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Mrs. Deeds died Sunday at her home.
Helen Frances Singer was born on September 24, 1935 in Roscoe to William C. and Beulah Frances (Pennington) Singer. She worked for a time as a newspaper carrier and also at the Sunset Drive-In. Helen married John Deeds on December 5, 1953. She was a homemaker and “Mom” to many. Helen was a member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Pam Deeds, two sons, Randy Deeds and David Deeds; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, John Deeds, a son, Curtis Deeds, a daughter, Joy Simcox, a granddaughter, Natasha Deeds and a great-granddaughter, Hasse Simcox.
