Brownwood News – The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory today (Wednesday) for Brown and neighboring counties between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
A Heat Advisory means that hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids…stay in an air-conditioned room…stay out of the sun…and check up on relatives and neighbors.
TEMPERATURE…High temperatures on Wednesday afternoon are expected to reach 100-103 across much of the Big Country and Concho Valley. The heat, combined with high humidity will make the heat index feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
IMPACTS…High risk of muscle cramps, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and dehydration.
