Hazel Wolf, age 92, of Coleman, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Coleman County Medical Center.
The family will host a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jerry Chastain, officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.
She was born Hazel Inez Bennett on May 10, 1928 in Coleman to John Ivan Bennett and Ada Loraine Grimes Bennett. Hazel grew up in Coleman where she attended school. She married James Wolf in Lovington, New Mexico in 1950. After residing in different places, they came back to Coleman and made their home. Hazel was a superb seamstress and could handle any sewing job that was assigned to her. She was a devout member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she loved her church family and spreading the word of God. Hazel enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents John and Ada Bennett; her husband, James Wolf; her stepson, Leon Wolf; one brother, Edward Bennett; and three sisters, Dorothy Freeman, Barbara Perry, and Betty Bennett.
She is survived by her children, Larry Luvaul and wife Irene of Tenino, Washington, Jeffrey Wolf of Coleman, James Douglas Wolf of Coleman, Jamie Staha and husband Michael of San Antonio; nine grandchildren, Lance Luvaul, Johnna Luvaul, Jessica Bridges, Casey Wolf, Michael Wolf, James Douglas, Jr., Christopher Staha, Clinton Staha, Michale Ortego; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sue Myers of Brownwood.
