Harvey Briggs, 88, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 in Lafayette, La.
He was born Dec. 6, 1927 in Coleman County to Elias and Alta (Slack) Briggs. He married Gaynell Laverne Hallmark on Feb. 14, 1999.
Survivors include two nieces and their husbands, Lana Sloan and Pete and Pam Hart and Randy; and two nephews, Larry Coats and Gary Briggs and wife Kathy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gaynell Briggs; sons, Don and Mike Briggs; one brother, Junior Briggs; and sister, Betty Coats.
