Harry Lynn Taylor fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his home in Bedford, Texas. Harry was born on October 19, 1939 to Wilda and Norris Taylor in San Marcos, Texas. The family moved to Brownwood, Texas where Harry grew up and graduated from Brownwood High School. He attended Texas Tech and Howard Payne University. He chose to pursue a career in the insurance industry where he worked for 50 years.
Harry’s most important things in life were his family. He married Carolyn Sue O’Neal Taylor on February 12, 1966 and moved to the Hurst-Euless-Bedford area where they resided. Harry devoted his entire life to his wife of 48 years and their two boys Brian and Todd, until the arrival of his four grandchildren: Sydney, Ryan, Payton and Madison.
Harry enjoyed the outdoors waterskiing, fishing and golfing, but most of all watching his two boys. No matter what they were doing, whether it was skiing at the lake, football, basketball, track or golf, he was a proud Papa of the two. He loved being their dad and was their number one fan.
He was a great partner, dad, grandfather, mentor and friend to everyone he knew and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, and sons and spouses, Brian and Nicole and Todd and Amanda and his four grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
We would like to thank Dr. Barry Alldredge, the Bedford Fire Department, Ms. Ladonna Tyson and many other friends that supported Harry for the past 10 years.
