Harold W. Cagle, age 75, of Brownwood, left this earthly life on Friday afternoon, September 23, 2011, at the Baylor Hospital in Plano following a short illness.
His body will be available for viewing Sunday and Monday and a visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 – 7 PM on Monday at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early with no formal services being held. His body will be cremated following the visitation under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Harold Wayne was born February 9, 1936 in Gladewater, Texas the son of the late J. Henry and Maggie Cagle. He was married to JoAnn Hoepfl in Breckenridge, Texas on April 1, 1957 and they shared 54 years of marriage together. He had been a resident of Brownwood for the past 43 years and was an oilfield drilling superintendent for many years, served as a Brownwood firefighter, as well as in the ranching business which he dearly loved.
He loved to hunt and now has gone to an eternal hunt riding his favorite horse scouting the woodlands for another trophy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends whom loved him very much.

5 great-grandchildren – Nicholas, Simon, Eden, Ruben, and Lexie
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Clovis Cagle and a sister, Betty Henderson as well as other beloved family members.
