Graveside services for Harold Sanford, age 83, of Brownwood will be held Monday, August 29, at 1:00 pm at the May Cemetery.
Harold went to be with his personal Lord and Savior on August 26, where he is now singing with the Angels and having a wonderful family reunion with loved ones who had gone on before him.
He attended May First Baptist Church for many years, where at one time he was the song leader.
He served in the Navy for a short time and worked for many years at Brownwood Manufacturing Company until his retirement.
He was born on July 29, 1928 to Clarence and Genevieve Dunn Sanford. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Boyd Sanford and by his loving sister, Mary Sanford Schweitzberger.
He is survived by his nephew, Charles Schweitzberger of May, Texas and his niece, Susan Smith and husband, Darrell Smith and his great nephew, Shane Smith of Brownwood, Texas.
There was not a person that Harold met that he did not like, and he was loved by many. His ever-present smile and sense of humor will truly be missed by all he knew.
