Harold J. Mobley, 59, of Brownwood , went to be with the Lord at 6:30 PM on January 28, 2013, at his home in Brownwood .
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 2, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brian Hall officiating.
Harold James Mobley was born on July 1, 1953, in Hooks Texas, to Afton Finis Mobley and Dorothy Jo Hilton Mobley. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines and on December 19, 1975, he married the love of his life, Linda Belew in Kaufman Texas .
Harold had been a truck driver for 38 years and had lived in Brownwood since 2006, moving here from the Metroplex. He was very a very dedicated family man and his favorite pastime was telling stories of the past to his family members. Harold loved the mountains and the country life and always considered himself a “country boy”.He was a simple man, living a simple life, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Linda Mobley of Brownwood; daughter, Cathy Mobley and husband, Paul Knight of Wichita Kansas; granddaughters, Angela Paxton and Casey York; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Haylee, and Lyla. He is also survived by his brother, Danny Mobley of Wylie Texas .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Afton and Dorothy Mobley.
