lippeHanna Marie (Kunkel) Lippe passed from this life to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 11, 2012 after several years fighting health issues.

Preceding Hanna in death were her father and mother, Julius and Emma (Schuster) Kunkel, her husband, WJ (Bill) Lippe, and siblings; sisters Evalyn Bryan, Anita Boelk, Edna Taylor, and brothers; John Leonard Kunkel, and Anton Jotham Kunkel.

Hanna is survived by her sister Nelda Hodges, of Abilene, children W. David Lippe and wife Carol, of San Angelo TX, Sue Hull and husband Ken, of Brownwood and Dallas TX, Stephen Lippe and wife Kathryn, of San Antonio TX, and Phillip Lippe and wife Patricia, of Round Rock, TX. She is also survived by four sister in-laws: Delores, Ruth, Bobbie, and Allene Lippe. Hanna is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally Hanna is survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

On April 7th, 1918, Hanna M Kunkel was born in Priddy, TX.

She attended schools in Wichita Falls, Miles, and finished high school in San Angelo, TX. Hanna attended and graduated from Shannon School of Nursing as a RN in 1939. And she obtained her BS of nursing in 1983 from Angelo State University.

Hanna practiced nursing in the old Ballinger hospital, and was Director of Nurses at the former Brownwood Medical Arts Hospital for a number of years. Afterwards, Hanna served as private duty nurse for clients and relatives. She then served as Campus Nurse for Howard Payne University until retiring at age 77.

Both Hanna and W.J. (Bill) Lippe were wonderful parents, grandparents, and great grandparents.

Arrangements are being conducted by Davis Morris funeral home of Brownwood, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church; 1401 First Street, Brownwood, Texas with The Reverend Curtis W. Schneider officiating, burial to follow at Zion Lion Lutheran Cemetery near Priddy, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel.
