The annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration features many events each year to appeal to all walks of life. One event hosted each year that is always highly anticipated is the Hands on a House competition sponsored by Coldwell Banker, Avalon Custom Homes, and WT Harris Company.
The Hands on a House event selects around 20 contestants each year competing for a custom built playhouse. Contestants must keep their hand in contact with the house as set forth in the agreed rules during the Brownwood Reunion Celebration. The last person remaining with their hand on the house at the end of the Reunion wins the playhouse.
The game has evolved a bit over the years, most notably with the addition of a can food drive that the contestants & their support team help to collect.
The 2009 event is being branded as Extreme Hands on a House according to sponsor Mark Campbell from Coldwell Banker. In addition to the normal competition and the food drive, this year there will be a few added special events for contestants to participate in. There will also be a few added challenges in regards to keeping the contestants hands on the house.
This years house theme is a 1950’s Diner. This photos is your first sneak peak at the playhouse waiting to be painted and decorated.
Registration for the competition is not quite ready yet, but is right around the corner. Check with Coldwell Banker, Mark Campbell & Associates for more upcoming details.
