Brown County Sheriff Bobby Grubbs presented Commissioners Administrator Amy Hamrick with a Certificate of Appreciation for saving Brown County $257,356.74 during Commissioner’s Court Monday.
These savings were related to medical bills through Indigent Health which Hamrick’s office processed. Hamrick’s assistant is T’Anna McClure. An amount of $382,779.29 was billed to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office; however with work in processing of these bills, BCSO medical expenses were reduced to $135,422.55. “The amount she saved us would have been paid out of our budget, in effect, coming out of the County’s money,” stated Grubbs. “And we appreciate her very much.”
