TrickorTreat1It’s that time again, to put on the costumes and have good time trick-or-treating, visiting haunted houses, or just having a good time with friends.  There are numerous activities around Brownwood to find some fall fun or scary Halloween activities in October.  Many people have been wondering when everyone will be trick or treating.  According to the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce, regardless of which day of the week October 31st falls on, trick or treating will take place on that night, which is a Monday this year.   Area churches and not-for-profit organizations have activities and fall festivals planned for kiddos of all ages.   Listed below are a few of the activities planned:

Brownwood Firefighters Association Haunted House – October 20th-22nd, 27th-29th 7pm-11pm & October 31st 7pm-9pm in the Home Economics Building at the Brown County Fair Grounds.   Admission:  $7  for 13yrs & up $5 for those 12 yrs and under.

World Of Terror 3rd annual haunted house – Oct 29th-31st  8pm-11pm NOT recommended for children under 8. At the Boys and Girls Club 1701 Ave L ( off of 4th street).  All proceeds go to benefit the Boys and Girls Club.  $8 admission.

Hall of Nightmares at the Old Brown County Jail – Witness monsters such as the wolfman, vampire, swamp creature and more at the Old Brown County Jail along with games and prizes for kids.  $5 admission which includes access to museum exhibits.  Oct 28, 29, and 30 from 7:30pm-midnight.

Bangs Project Graduation is hosting a Haunted House on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th.  The haunted house will be open from 8-midnight at the old 8th grade building between the middle school cafeteria and gym.  Admission is $5.

JCI Haunted HouseZombies Night of the Living Dead”:  Friday, October 28th-Monday, October 30th open nightly from 8pm-11pm, at 3401 Milam Drive in Brownwood.  Get ready to scream!  Not suitable for small children.    Admission is $5/person and group discounts are available. Early First Baptist Church – Fall Festival October 30th, 5pm

Austin Avenue Church of Christ – Trunk-O-Treat October 30th, 5-7pm

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Opening Night – 7pm at Brownwood High School.  See BHS perform their fall performance.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.  CLICK HERE for more info.

Southside Church – Trunk-n-Treat  October 31st 6:30pm  FREE

The Vicksburg Retirement Community will host trick-or-treaters from 6-8pm October 31st

Coggin Avenue Baptist Church – Fall Festival October 31st, 5:30-7:30pm, FREE

Brownwood Evangelism Center, corner of 14th and D. – Trunk-or-Treat on October, 31st from 6-8 PM

Brownwood Bulletin – Trick-o-Treat October 31st, Photos taken, 3:30-6:30pm

Brownwood Law Enforcement Center – Candy  October 31st 6pm-8pm
