A Brownwood Policeman was dispatched to the 1800 block of Main Blvd late Tuesday night with a report of guns being drawn at a residence.  The police report states that when the officer arrived, he noticed a vehicle in the driveway with two female victims and one male present at the scene.

The first female victim explained that she and the other female were attempting to leave the driveway of the residence in a pickup.  As she was backing out of the driveway, another vehicle entered the driveway blocking the truck so that they could not back into the street.  The police report states that the women saw a male subject sitting in the passenger side of the car, holding a shotgun in his hand and then the man held the gun outside the vehicle raising the barrel to point it toward the cab of the truck.  She explained to the officer that she was afraid the suspects were going to kill them, so she tried to climb into the driver’s side floorboard of the vehicle for “cover”.  She then told the officer about seeing several other vehicles pull up in front of the house.  The police report also states that the woman told police that she could not get descriptions of the other vehicles since she was scared.

The report indicates that when the second female victim was interviewed, she verified the previous victim’s account of the incident and also indicated that a woman got out of the driver’s area door of the vehicle and came up to the passenger side of the truck, stated obscenities and continued by saying, “I got something for you and it’s not my fist.”  After that statement, this suspect walked back and got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle according to the police report.

The second female victim indicated that during this time she noticed three other vehicles in the road near her residence that she believed arrived at the same time the report states.    She said the vehicles all left the scene upon hearing the approaching police sirens and that she was not able to provide descriptions of the other two vehicles that may have been involved.

The officer then spoke to the male homeowner of the residence who also verified the first accounts of the incident.  The police report states that the male victim indicated that he was armed, that he has the pistol for protection and that he fears he may have to use the weapon to protect not only himself, but also his family and property.  It was noted in the report that the family had only been back at their residence for about a week since a previous incident which resulted in the homeowner being stabbed.

Police are still investigating the incident and no arrests have been made.
