Milton Avenue Baptist Church thanks the community for another successful youth fundraiser held Friday, June 28th.
Over $1300 was raised by the youth of Milton Avenue Baptist Church who were selling enchilada plates as their last summer camp fundraiser.
Pastor Ellis Villarreal stated that the youth worked until 2:00 a.m. Friday morning preparing food for the fundraiser. They, along with their youth minister Abraham Degaldo, were able to raise the majority of the funds needed to help pay for camp with this enchilada fundraiser and their previous brisket fundraiser held earlier this month. In total, 15 students will be attending the summer camp at a cost of approximately $150.Organizers and the youth group thank the community and businesses that supported the fundraiser. Donations were received from Kohler, Big Country Ford, Oakridge Manor, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Holder of State Farm, and too many others to name.
