Beverly Norris, curator of the Lehnis Railroad Museum, has been named Grand Marshal for this year’s Spirit of Christmas Lighted Parade.
Norris has been a part of the museum since June of this year and is very active in the community. Norris was selected as Grand Marshal by the parade sponsor, Texas Rock Crusher Railway, to fit into the railroad theme of the parade.
Norris said she is privileged to work at the local museum and help preserve the history of the community. She said that the museum displays the extensive railroad collection of Martin and Frances Lehnis and offers a great family experience.
“There is something to interest all ages at the Lehnis Museum,” Norris said. “We feature many family friendly activities and displays.”
Norris also serves on the board of the Brown County Museum of History. She said that she is flattered to be chosen as Grand Marshal as a representative of the museums.
“I am excited to be a part of this event and hope to take this great opportunity and give back to the community,” Norris said.
The annual lighted Christmas Parade will be held Thursday, December 4th at 6:30 PM in Downtown Brownwood and is sponsored by the Texas Rock Crusher Railway.
