Paul’s Journey is a full time Gospel Music Ministry, traveling about 200 days a year nationwide. The group was formed almost 40 years ago, and while it has had a few changes in members throughout the years, their goal of ministry through music has remained the same.
“We want to present a program that is not only entertaining but uplifting to the soul as well. Wherever the Lord sends us, we go with these thoughts in mind: to lift up the name of Jesus, to see lost souls saved, and to see other Christians touched by God,” reads a post on the group’s website.
Paul’s Journey was voted SGM FanFair Favorite Male Quartet in 2007. They were awarded South Texas Association Group of the Year for 2001, 2004, 2007, and then again in 2014. The group was also nominated for Diamond Award as Group of the Year in 2004. They were also nominated for Horizon Group of the Year in 2012 and most recently were chosen by the Singing News southern gospel fans as one of the Top 5 Traditional Quartets in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Good Samaritan Ministries, located at 305 Clark Street in Brownwood, works to feed over 1,000 families each month in Brown County through its various hunger ministry programs like the food pantry, food for thought for school children, the homebound program for the elderly, The Deer Project, and the Pig Project.
