Each year during the holidays, Good Samaritan Ministries helps hungry families with their Christmas boxes, which include the basics for a Christmas dinner. GSM asks the community to help by donating either monetarily or with food items to make this season another successful program.
Items such as canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, cake mix, frosting, cornbread mix and stuffing mix are needed for the project this year. Christmas boxes will be distributed from December 3rd through December 21st.
A complete box costs approximately $25 to fill. Donations may be brought to Good Samaritan Ministries at 305 Clark Street or mailed to P.O. Box 1136, Brownwood, TX 76801 or made online at goodsambwd.org. Credit cards are accepted at the GSM office.
Other drop off for locations Good Samaritan Ministries’ Christmas boxes include: McCoy’s, Davis Morris Funeral Home, First Central Credit Union on Fisk, KOXE Radio and Wendlee Broadcasting.
