GoodSamaritainMinistriesLogoSaturday, October 16th is World Food Day, a worldwide event designed to increase awareness, understanding and informed, year-round action to alleviate hunger.  Good Samaritan Ministries will have a booth at the Harvest Festival sponsored by the Brownwood Area Community Garden to celebrate World Food Day on that Saturday at Riverside Park from 10am-4pm Saturday, October 16th.

Good Samaritan Ministries invites anyone who would like to bring their donations of non-perishable food items to the booth at that time.  Of course, you can bring them by GSM at 305 Clark Street anytime Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m.

Some immediate needs we have currently are for canned corn, rice, dried beans, plastic grocery bags and empty one dozen egg cartons.  Thank you for helping us to put food on the tables of our friends and neighbors.
