Brownwood ISD and Early ISD remind all students and parents that Friday, April 22 is a Bad Weather Make-Up day for the districts.

There will be an early release that day for Good Friday for Brownwood schools.  All buses will run 2 hours early.

A make up day is necessary due to the ice and snow the area experienced during the first week of February.  Many students in Brown County were able to stay home from school due to hazardous travel conditions and school cancellations.

School officials said that TEA policy states that if more than two instruction days are missed because of weather, health or safety issues, two make-up days are required to be rescheduled and a waiver may be requested for the others.  The second make-up day for students will be Friday, May 27th which will now be the official last day of the regular school year.  An early dismissal is scheduled for this date as well for both districts.
