Glenn “Tanny” Harris, 70, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015.  He was born in Taft, Texas on January 24, 1945.

Visitation and memorial services will be held at Grand Starz Event Hall, located at 2323 Belle Plain Street in Brownwood, Texas, on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m.

Family visitation will follow after the services.

After graduating from 3 Way High School in 1964, he was drafted into the U. S. Army, serving honorably in Vietnam.  Glenn moved his family to Fort Stockton, where he worked for Firestone Test Center until moving his family to Brownwood, Texas in 1977.  He started his business Brownwood Lake Service, specializing in custom dock construction and repair.

Glenn was known for his honesty, kindness and always willing to help those in need.  He always kept his word.  He was a founding member of the Dam Volunteer Fire Department, located at Lake Brownwood.

Glenn is survived by his wife Judith Stuckey Harris; sons David Harris and wife Beth Harris, and Ronald Harris and Monica, Judy Stuckey; grandchildren Ashley, Destiny, Connor, Alex, Javen and Lane; and great granddaughter Alayna.  He is also survived by brothers, Wayne and wife Becky Harris of Odessa, Texas, and Johnny and wife Shirley Harris of Fort Worth, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Conrad and Jewell Harris and brother, Carl Don Harris.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Glenn to Brown County Toys for Kids, Juvenile Diabetes Association or Brown County Relay for Life.
