Gladys Faye Lancaster of Bangs, born on November 25, 1917, passed away on March 15, 2014. Born in Woodson, Texas, she was the daughter of Charles and Sallie Smith. She married Perry Lancaster on June 3, 1939 in Breckenridge, Texas.
Gladys was a resident of Bangs, Texas for over 50 years, where she and her husband ran a real estate and home building service. Gladys was a member of The United Methodist Church of Bangs for 52 years. She enjoyed working in the yard and watching her family grow.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sallie Smith; three brothers, O.C., Garland, and Kenneth, and four sisters, Katy Harrell, Bea Horton, Rita Smith, and Infant Girl; her beloved husband Perry (1981), and son-in–law, Truman Perry(2007).
Gladys is survived by her daughter Sue Perry of Bangs, sister in-law Ava Smith McCamey; grandchildren: Dewayne Perry of Bangs, Tammy and husband Val Garcia of Bangs, James and his wife Chris Perry of Bangs, Ron and his wife Jean Young of Bangs; great-grandchildren, Derrick and his wife Joy Ann of Early, Cathey Moreno of Austin, Jared and his wife Molly of Bangs, Aaron Perry of Brownwood, Jacob Perry of Bangs, Karissa Perry of Bangs, Joshua and family of Brownwood, Matt of Brownwood, Michael Young of Delaware and Jay Young of Bangs; great-great-grandchildren, Taylor and Katelynn Perry, Brooklyn and Cross Moreno , Stoney Perry, Talon Young, Ethan and Ava Young, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Gladys are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, March 18th , at Bangs Cemetery in Bangs, Texas.
