Gilbert Valencia, Sr. age 59, of Brownwood, died Sunday morning in the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
He was born October 23, 1951 in Crowell, Texas the son of the late Jose Diaz and Gladys Cartellion Valencia. He graduated from high school and married Patricia Soliz. He worked in the construction business and in the tire industry most of his life and had lived in Brownwood for the past 13 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Valencia of Brownwood
His children, Pete and Gladys Lina Garza, Gilbert Valencia, Jr. Barbara Valencia, Krystal Blakley, Darlene Valencia & Christina Lopez
2 Grandchildren – Jace Christopher Garza and Julian Lopez
Brothers and sisters – George and Carmen Valencia, Angel Valencia, Lilly Rodriquez, and Thomas Valencia
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Brothers, Paul Valencia, Lupe Valencia, and Ruben Valencia, and 2 Sisters, Anita Robles and Mary Gonzalez.
