Gerald Stephen Schwartz, 66, of Blanket, passed from his earthly home on September 11, 2013. He was surrounded by his wife Betty and several of his children.
Steve was born on March 11, 1947 in Roswell New Mexico . He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and the latter years of his life he spent ranching, gardening and fishing.
He is survived by wife of 31 years Betty; six children, Rachel and Kolby of Oklahoma., and Amanda, Danny Ray, Jason and Brad of Texas. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Mozelle Lincoln, father Bert Schwartz and brother Donald Schwartz of Midland Texas .
Funeral services for Steve Schwartz will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 15, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery . Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Saturday, September 14, at the funeral home.
