Georgia M. Brown, age 82, of Brownwood died Sunday morning at the Care Inc. nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday at the Emanuel Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Benny M. Allcorn and Rev. Jerry Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
She was born October 28, 1928 in Coleman the daughter of the late C. C. and Mary Brown. She attended school in Coleman and had lived in Brownwood most of her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Emanuel Chapel United Methodist Church
where she assisted with the cooking for meals at the church. She was a very jolly lady who brought smiles to those she was around.
She is survived by 3 Sons, Jan Brown of Abilene, Arthur Glen Brown of Livingston, and Joseph Brown of Dallas.
6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren also survive as do many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Brown, and 2 Brothers and 5 Sisters
