Georgia Lee Rampy, age 89 of Brownwood, died on Saturday, July 7, 2012. She was born in Dallas, Texas on September 25, 1922 and grew up in Miles, Texas. Georgia married William Thomas “Dub” Rampy in 1941 and moved to Brownwood, shortly thereafter. She was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church for over fifty years. Georgia was also an alumni of the Brownwood Citizens Police Academy.
Georgia is survived by her daughters: Linda Clowdus and husband, Kenneth and Rebecca Dalrymple and husband, Gary; her grandchildren, Mindy Smallwood, and husband, John, Brook Clowdus and wife, Kim, Tracy Dalrymple and Nicole Dalrymple. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her Great Grandchildren: Katelyn and J.T. Smallwood, Chloe Clowdus and Kelsey Franks; and her dear friend, Susan Timmons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Myra Estelle Johnston, and her husband.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, with Brother Tim Skaggs officiating. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Blaylock Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
