Funeral services for Gene Miller, age 55, of Elm Grove and Brownwood will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ruben Packer officiating. Interment will follow at Holt Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Miller passed away October 5, 2011 at his home.
Gene William Miller was born June 14, 1956 in Brady, Texas to Archie and Edna (Wilburn) Miller. He attended schools in Richland Springs and Rochelle. Gene was a mechanic and worked for years at Royce Miller Automotive. He loved to fish, hunt and enjoy good times with family and friends. Gene was a very caring man who cherished his family and he loved his Lord.
Those left behind to cherish his memories include his children, Jennifer Beckett of Round Rock and Gene Miller, Jr. of Brownwood ; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Mason; brothers and sisters, Karen Dotson of Brady, Tommy Miller of Elm Grove, Royce and Sindy Miller of Bangs, Bunny and Cindy Miller of Brownwood, Jack and Shirley Miller of Zephyr, Lee and Paula Miller Richland Springs, Christy Storey of Blanket and Cara Miller of Austin; as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Edna Miller and sister, Dorothy Shores.
