G.C. Edgar, 74, of Early, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010, at his home in Early with his loved ones by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ila Evelyn Davis Edgar; his son, Randy Crowder and wife Janice, of Wimberley, Texas; his daughter, Dawn Saurborn and husband Larry, of Fairmont West Virginia; eight grandchildren; ten great-grand children; sister Peggy Edgar of Early, and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Effie Edgar and his brother, John Edgar.
G.C. Edgar was born on July 1, 1936, in Brown County, to Clint Edgar and Effie Fisher Edgar. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1954 to1958, and in the Reserves until 1962. G.C. will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 5, in the Heartland Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Todd King officiating. Interment will follow at Blanket Cemetery, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, November 4, at the funeral home.
