Gaylan Wayne Berry, 67, of Midland, TX, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in Midland, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 22, 2015, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, TX. The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, August 21, 2015, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Gaylan Wayne Berry was born June 16, 1948 to Willie Leston and Ruby Nell (Thompson) Berry, in Comanche, TX. Gaylan was raised in Goldthwaite where he was a dedicated member of the FFA. Gaylan lived in Brownwood for 20 years and worked at West Texas Printing. In 1991 Gaylan and his family moved to Midland where he raised his family and worked as a Hardware Manager in sales. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; among other things. Gaylan was also quite handy and had a tool for every situation and job. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Gaylan will be dearly missed by all that knew him and loved him.
Gaylan was preceded in death by his father, Willie Leston Berry and son, Tyler Wayne Berry. Gaylan leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Carolyn Berry; his daughter, Shelby Charrisse Thomas and husband Cleve; his grandchildren, Mazie Joy Thomas and Jace Tyler Thomas and mother Ruby Nell, his brother, Dale Berry and wife Rita.In lieu of flower the family requests memorials be made to Stroke.org or the Tyler Berry Memorial Soccer Scholarship.
