Mr. Crouch passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Garland Doyle Crouch was born on October 21, 1955, in Brownwood Texas to Oscar Thomas Crouch and Mary Bernice Benson Crouch. He was a lifetime resident of Brownwood and on November 12, 1976, he married Juanita Swain. Garland had worked for the Brownwood Housing Authority for years in Building Maintenance before retiring due to health reasons. He enjoyed woodworking and doing carpentry work but more than anything else, he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Garland spent many hours drinking coffee with his friends at the café. When he said “I’m Going to the office” you always knew where to find him. He was a caring man with a special love for his family and would always do anything in the world for them.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Juanita Crouch of Brownwood; his son Thomas Crouch and wife Janette of Brownwood; his daughter Tiffani Crouch and husband Sean of Brownwood; brothers, Lonnie Crouch and wife Debbie of Bangs, Troy Crouch and wife Deann, Verman Crouch, and Damon Benson, all of Brownwood and Bobby Crouch and wife Debbie of China Springs Texas; and his sister, Cindy Alldredge and husband Tim of Brownwood.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Travis Crouch, Garrett Crouch, Josh Crouch, Jeremy Joyce and Kenslei Crouch as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Thomas and Mary Bernice Crouch and two brothers, Glynn Crouch and Jessie Crouch.
