A two-vehicle accident was reported Friday afternoon around 4:30 pm in the area of Austin Avenue and Coggin as a pickup truck rear-ended a passenger car. Police and emergency responders located the vehicles behind Weakley-Watson True Value Hardware in the 800 block of Avenue G when they arrived on scene.
One driver was transported to the emergency room; the other driver was reported to be uninjured. The GMC truck sustained damage to its bumper and very slight damage to its front-end. The passenger car, a Cougar, received significant damage to its bumper and trunk.Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
