Funeral services for Freida Campbell, 73, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 24, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ruben Packer officiating. Interment will follow in Moro Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Friday September 23, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Campbell passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at her home in Brownwood with loved ones by her side.
Freida Darlene Campbell was born on June 13, 1938, in Brownwood, to Warren Whatley and Nora Gardner Whatley. She was raised and attended school in Blanket, and on September 1, 1988, she married Wayne Campbell in Brownwood. She had worked as a caregiver and had been a lifelong resident of Brown County.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne Campbell of Brownwood; daughter, Lisa Faye Goins and husband Lance, of Brownwood; brother, Dean Whatley of Odessa; the grandchildren she raised, Lisa and Jon Walls and grandson, Ronnie Joe Harrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Nora Whatley.
