The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a freeze warning which is in effect from 2 am to 9 am Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing late Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
In the wake of a strong cold frontal passage Sunday night, clear skies and light winds will allow ideal radiational cooling conditions to set up Monday night into Tuesday morning. This will result in temperatures dropping to near or below freezing for several hours Tuesday morning.
