KeepBrownwoodBeautifulLogoIt is time for the county-wide cleanup event once again thanks to Keep Brownwood Beautiful and the City of Brownwood.

This Saturday, October 1st from 8am-3pm, area residents can get rid of unwanted items from their homes at no cost.  The drop off point for cars, vans and pickups will be under the Austin Avenue Overpass at Avenue A and Brady Avenue.  Trailers must go to the landfill where there will be no charge that day.

Residential items accepted include brush, yard debris, household garbage, latex & spray paint (limit 20 gallons), metal, appliances, anti-freeze, car batteries, recycling, car tires (max 8 per household, tires will not be accepted from tire dealers or tire resellers), used motor oil (limit 5 gallons).

Electronic Items accepted include computers, monitors, printers, copy machines, fax machines, scanners, cameras, networking equipment, UPS, PDAs, VCR/VCD/DVD players, MP3players, cell phones, dry cell batteries, digital cameras.  No hazardous waste will be accepted.
