A graveside funeral service for Fred Edgar, age 78, of Early, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in the Bangs Cemetery with Richard Hetzel officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service. Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Edgar died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in a Carrollton hospital.
Fred Alton Edgar was born on December 16, 1939 in Brownwood to Alf and Dollie (Fisher) Edgar. He married Zanna Holcomb on April 7, 1970 in Brownwood. He was a welder by trade.
Fred is survived by a sister, Linda Deen and husband Jimmie of Blanket; two brothers, Bob Edgar of Blanket and Wayne Edger and wife Mary of Early and his mother-in-law, Billie Holcomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Zanna Edgar.
