Francis Robert “Frank” Hannon, Jr., age 79, of Bangs died Thursday evening at his home.
He was born June 8, 1931 in Hughes Springs, Texas the son of the late Francis Robert
and Redger Taylor Hannon Sr. He attended schools at Atlanta, Texas and later entered the U. S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War and later enlisted for additional service. He retired as a Master Sergeant and worked as an air corp medic. He helped to train the astronauts for NASA while in San Antonio. He had previously lived in Dallas prior to moving to the Bangs area in 1989.
He was married to Mamie Garcia at Chandler, Arizonia on September 1, 1953 and they celebrated 56 years of marriage prior to her death earlier this year. He was a member of the Catholic church. He is survived by:

Barbara Manasco of Cleveland, Texas
Mary Lou Jones of Tomball, Texas
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, and two brothers, James and Jackie.
