A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection to the December 2009 murder of Ronald Philen.
Officials at the district attorney’s office said that 21-year-old Matthew Scott Navarro of Brownwood was arrested overnight at a home in Brownwood. Jail records indicate that Navarro was arrested by Brownwood police on the charge of capital murder.
Three other suspects; Alex Gil,Jr., Pedro Rocha, Jr., and Efrain Castillo III; were picked up earlier this week in connection to the case, each charged with capital murder.
The victim’s brother Randall Philen was released from prison on Wednesday after being convicted in November 2011 for the murder of his brother.
