ArtsCouncilOfBwdLogoThe Arts Council of Brownwood is pleased to announce that the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will be performing on Thursday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School. They will be conducted by Daniel Black, the newly appointed Assistant Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. He has already received critical acclaim for his performance of Handel’s Messiah – a concert in which he unexpectedly had to step in after an injury to the scheduled conductor. The program will include:

  • Overture to The Magic Flute, K. 620, by Mozart
  • Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Op. 93, by Beethoven
  • Intermission
  • Symphony No. 6 in D Major, Op. 60, by Dvorák

Tickets will cost $5 for adults and $3 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door. The orchestra will also perform for Brownwood ISD 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students on Friday morning.
