Brownwood News – St. John’s Church in Brownwood will be hosting a concert on Sunday, the 11th at 7 p.m. featuring their former Rector, Father Nelson Koschecki. The former pastor began writing praise music with a writing partner after he retired from St. John’s.

The group featured in the concert is called Liturgical Folk, and is stopping in Brownwood as part of their Lenten Texas Tour. Stories, poems, and songs will be part of the free event that is open to the entire community.

The experience is described as a “reimagining of the hymnal for a new generation of worship.” Liturgical Folk works “to make beautiful and believable sacred folk music for the sake of the world.”

Performers will include Melissa & Ryan Flanigan, Tiffany & Justin Brooks, and Fr Nelson Koscheski who returns to St John’s for the first time since his retirement.
