Big Country Ford’s “Drive One for Your School” fundraiser benefitting area school’s Project Graduation is set for Saturday, October 1st, from 8:30am-4:30pm and offers test drives which will pay $20 to the school of your choice. Brownwood, Early, Bangs, Zephyr and May Project Graduations are participating in the event which will be held at the Brownwood Coliseum and students are counting on their supporters to come out and help them take home thousands.
This is Big Country Ford’s first year to participate in the event; however since its inception in 2007, Ford has given away $5 million with this program.
“We’re really excited about the event,” said Kurt Newton of Big Country Ford. “The Project Graduation groups and our company have been working on this for several months. We’re excited to have a chance to give thousands to these organizations.”
“All anyone has to do is register, show a valid driver’s license and take a test drive,” said Newton.
Up to $6000 will be donated by Ford to area schools during the test drive event which will also feature fundraising booths from each of the area schools. These additional fundraising booths will offer baked goods, hot dogs, brisket, lemonade, tea and much more.
Some of the vehicles that will be onsite for drivers to enjoy will be:
- F150 Trucks with Ecoboost Engines
- 2012 Fusion
- 2012 Focus
- 2012 Fiesta
- 2012 Explorer
