The Brown County Sheriff’s office is looking into a report of a driver getting a bottle and crowbar thrown at his vehicle while driving on Saturday night.

The report issued by officer Pete Bastardo states that the victim was travelling on Hwy 67/84 Saturday night & believes a vehicle followed him from town.  As the victim was travelling on the highway, the other vehicle attempted to pass him as as it did someone threw a bottle that hit the victim’s car.  A crow bar was also thrown at the victim’s vehicle shattering the driver’s side window on impact.  The victim also stated that occupants in the other vehicle were yelling something, but he could not make out what was said.

According to the report, the victim stated that he did not know who could have done this, but did refer to two different occasions where he received threatening letters regarding his sexuality & reported these incidences to the Brownwood Police Department.   The victim however was not sure if the letters and this incident were connected.
