A memorial service for Floyd Don Owings, age 67, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. He passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene.
Mr. Owings was born on May 16, 1948 in Lubbock, Texas to Floyd Clifford and Alice Pearl Massey Owings. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and had worked as a repairman on helicopters.
Survivors include two sisters Glynda Wigginton and husband Ken of Brownwood, Marsha Odom of Brownwood; two brothers Ronald Owings and wife Jennie of Terrell, Timothy Ownings of Brownwood; 11 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frankie Owings and one sister Debra “Debbie” Campbell.Friends are invited to sign the guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net .
