heavyrainThe National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the following areas:  Brown, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, San Saba, Schleicher, Sutton and Tom Green counties.

The Flash Flood Watch will remain in effect through 7 pm Thursday evening.

Heavy rainfall remains possible across parts of west central Texas. A very moist atmosphere remains across the region today. Scattered showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall are expected to develop across the  Recent rainfall in combination with the expected heavy rainfall today will bring the possibility of flash flooding to much of the area.

Rainfall amounts near 1 inch will be possible with isolated amounts of 2-3 inches through tonight. Potential flood impacts include flooding of highways and county roads which may become impassable. Heavy rainfall may cause flooding of low water crossings, city streets, creeks and draws or other low lying flood prone areas.
