Howard Payne University has announced the Homecoming Court for 2009.
Homecoming princess nominees are Jeffri Malone, a junior, with a double major in cross cultural studies and spanish from Bonham, TX; Christina Todo, a junior, triple major in pre-law, business administration, and the Douglas McArthur Academy of Freedom from Little Elm, TX; and Sarah Pfiester, a junior, exercise sports science major from Carrollton, TX.
Homecoming queen nominees include Katie Curry, a senior, practical theology major from Farmington, NM; Jaleesa King, a senior, communication studies major from Duncanville, TX; and Miranda Cole, a senior, cross cultural studies major from Borger, TX.
The HPU Homecoming queen and princess will be announced Friday, October 23 at the 10 a.m. Homecoming Convocation at First Baptist Church of Brownwood. The Court will be featured in the Homecoming parade on Saturday, October 24, beginning at 10 a.m. and in the half-time show of the Homecoming football game versus Louisiana College at Gordon Wood Stadium at 2 p.m.
The student body selects the court each year by elections coordinated through the Student Government Association.
