The Brownwood High School Band performed for the first time this school year on Monday during the BISD district-wide convocation.  The BHS auditorium was filled with employees from all Brownwood campuses for the annual meeting.  This was the first public performance of the high school band under their new director David Lambert.

Led by Drum Major Natalie Mayo and Jr. Drum Major Isabela Avalos, the group performed energetic songs such as Animal, Wipe Out, Last Night, The Yay Song, the alma mater and fight song.

The convocation is the start of the official school year for teachers and staff.  BISD Superintendent Reece Blincoe addressed those in attendance as well as special guest speaker Mary Gordon Spence.
