Brownwood News – About 10:00 pm Sunday night, several units of the Brownwood Fire Department responded to a call at Brookshire’s Food and Pharmacy on Austin Avenue.
According to Brownwood Fire Marshal, Buddy Preston, the call came in as a smell of something hot. Firemen searched the interior of the store with thermal but nothing was found. They also checked the roof units and breaker box but nothing was found. Units stayed on scene until the smell dissipated, Preston said. The call was cleared at 10:45 pm.
