Area fire departments responded to two separate house fires Monday night that started about 20 minutes apart.
The first fire, which started around 8:25pm, burned a frame home on County Road 467 near Lake Brownwood. The Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department, Bangs Volunteer Fire Department, and Brownwood Fire Department all responded to the fire. First responders arrived on the scene to find about half of the home engulfed in flames. The home experienced severe smoke and fire damage.
Firefighters on the scene said that all of the occupants of the home escaped safely. No word on the cause of the fire at this time.
While crews worked on the fire, a second call regarding a house fire was received around 8:45pm in the 2900 block of U.S. Hwy 183 N. The Early Volunteer Fire Department and Brownwood Fire Department responded. Brownwood’s Booster 1 was on scene at the first fire and was dispatched to help at the second fire. No other information is available as of Monday night regarding the fire on Hwy 183 N.
