Anyone driving in downtown Brownwood early Tuesday morning may have noticed that the Brownwood Fire Department was hard at work. But don’t worry; there was no fire this time.
Firefighters were lending a hand in hanging the new custom made street light Christmas decorations. Although it was cold and raining, holiday organizers were working to get these decorations in place before the weather deteriorated even further as forecasters predict.
These 17 all new custom made street light decorations can be seen down Center Avenue in downtown Brownwood. The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, TSTC, local businesses, volunteers, and now the Brownwood Fire Department all worked together designing, making, decorating, and hanging these displays.
These displays will help set the tone for Friday’s Lighted Christmas Parade sponsored by Southside Church and the weekend Christmas under the Stars Festival near Depot Plaza.
