The Howard Payne University volleyball team dropped a five game match to the University of Dallas in non-conference action in the Brownwood Coliseum Saturday evening.
Howard Payne lost the first game 20-25 but won the next two 25-20 and 25-20. The 4th game was a back and forth event with UDallas coming out on top 25-21. UDallas went on the win the fifth game 15-11.
Howard Payne hit .113 pct as a team compared to .064 for UDallas. HPU had four service aces to 10 for UDallas.
HPU’s Tamika Heline led all with 20 kills along with 13 digs. Megan Pick had 10 kills with 20 digs and Hannah Hicks added seven kills. Amber Cantu-Curry had 39 assists. UDallas was led by Fuchs and Wohldmann with 15 kills each. Kitten had a match high 41 assists.
HPU now stands at 7-7 overall and UDallas is at 13-1 overall. The Lady Jackets next will travel to Alpine on Monday for a conference matchup with Sul Ross State University.
