Brownwood News – A total of 4,151 of 23,102 registered voters in Brown County turned out for the Constitutional Amendment Election Tuesday, November 5, 2019. That represents a voter turnout of 17.97%. Results remain unofficial until canvassed by County Commissioners in a future meeting.

 

Garnering most interest was Proposition 4, the amendment prohibiting the imposition of an individual income tax, including a tax on an individual’s share of partnership and unincorporated association income. A vote “For” meant you were against a state income tax. 89.02 percent of Brown County voted For, 10.98% Against.

Prop 10 – Passed in Brown County – 94% in favor, 5% against
